Fun with Bookgasm (and zombie breasts)
Now that November has come to a close (hell, didn’t it just open?), you know what we’re thankful for? That, for the second month in a row, more Internet searchers coming to BOOKGASM were looking for Evangeline Lilly nude shots than Charo nude shots. Next month, we’re hoping to see Charo drop off the list completely, and maybe people getting back to searching for actual books again. Like MARVEL ZOMBIES, making its first appearance on our incoming-search list. Glad to have you.

[...] COMMON DENOMINATOR … RISING If an after-school special were to be written about BOOKGASM’s rise to prominence, I think the turning point would be when searchers looking for actual book reviews started visiting the site and we didn’t have to tailor our prose to satisfy connoisseurs of niche B-celebrity skin. That point is quickly approaching, as searchers’ emphasis on full-frontal Charo is in retrograde and Marvel zombies are gaining steam, at least according to last month’s search data in FUN WITH BOOKGASM. I think this would be the point in the movie in which Rod Lott (played by Kristy McNichol) sees that not everyone in the world is a slimy perv looking for cheap celebrity nipple slips, convincing her to finally go “all the way” with her high school boyfriend. [...] 9. NAKED PICTURES OF US by Evangeline Lilly, Tricia Helfer, Mimi Rogers and Charo – It was only matter of time before the publishing world took notice of how many online readers came to sites like BOOKGASM hoping to find naked pictures of the stars of LOST, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, LOST IN SPACE and THE LOVE BOAT. Thankfully, this year the folks at HarperCollins heeded this call and gave the public what they so desperately wanted. No one need ever search for such images again! –Allan Mott [...]
[...] In this – 2006’s final monthly round-up of search terms that bring new pervs people to BOOKGASM – a list of the usual suspects. But look! Toward the bottom (no pun intended), newcomer Shannon Tweed, queen of the erotic thriller. We welcome you, Shannon, with open arms. (No, seriously. Give us a call. We’ll spring for cab fare.) [...]
