Sometime next year, Hard Case Crime will reissue Gil Brewer’s 1958 novel THE VENGEFUL VIRGIN, about a TV repairman’s torrid affair with an 18-year-old redhead, and their plans to off her wealthy stepfather.
Charles Ardai, Hard Case editor, called Brewer “a man who wrote with almost painful intensity and whose best books read like fever dreams full of desire and catastrophe.
