Did YOU win THE CHINATOWN DEATH CLOUD PERIL?

chinatown death cloud peril reviewOur most popular contest yet comes to a close, with two folks walking away with signed copies of Paul Malmont’s critically acclaimed (and not just by us) debut novel, THE CHINATOWN DEATH CLOUD PERIL.

Since Doc Savage figures heavily in Malmont’s pulp-inspired tale, we asked you to I.D. the fake Doc Savage title hiding amidst nine real ones. In the age of Google, however, “hiding” isn’t exactly appropriate, and everybody fingered THE DREADED BABOON as the phony. Well, everybody but one guy, who was disqualified for picking incorrectly, although I do give him points for guessing instead of cheating with a Wikipedia lookup. I also had to disqualify a couple of entrants who failed to read the part of the rules that clearly required you to send “your name and mailing address” as part of the entry, and one guy who turned his in 14 minutes after the stated deadline.

Drafting my two eldest children to shout random numbers, that makes the following two people forever indebted to BOOKGASM:
• Patrick Carney – Providence, R.I.
• Paul Kupperberg – Stamford, Conn.

For everyone else, thanks for playing, but them’s the breaks, kids. So go buy it at Amazon because we have have no more to give. Hell, all we do is give.
