The only authors in the genre who have even come close to Donald Hamilton in keeping me turning pages are Stephen Hunter (and he comes REAL damned close) and Lee Child...and both these guys, as good as they are, require 400 pages to do what Mr. Hamilton used to accomplish in 150! One more thing: "their (Matt Helm novel) covers may not be that great"?!? This is me, begging to differ! Keep Matt Helm alive, Bruce! Paul Even mediocre Matt Helm beats most other spy/thriller writers!
