Your review is spot-on. The voodoo stuff is hilarious. You're also right about the Penetrator, in that his novels really are just about the genre's best. Some of 'em were so bad they were good, you know. Yeah, I know, you wanted to toss most of them in the trash before the end of the first chapter. But I would catch myself reading the whole book to find out how the story ended, then swear I would never read another one!
