The 17-ish METAMORPHO series appears to be have more an extended try-out series than a real series. When it was abruptly cancelled, the guest appearances in other DC comics also vanished. The story arc in issues #16-17 was also never continued (correct me if I’m wrong, folks). I have these 2 issues and the writing could have been FAR better. Rather than go into details here, I’d just say that DC essentially abandoned and ditched this bizarre character…
Also note in METAL MEN, a band of chemical super-heroes, the sudden disappearance of Nameless a.k.a. Beautiful and the recent reforging of them from the nearest scrap on hand was also never explained.
