You simply don't turn in a comic script that has too many words per panel or too many panels per page. If your script is like that, there's something fundamentally wrong with your structuring. And I read an interview with the editor of Giffen & DeMatteis' Justice League books and he said that their DEFENDERS book was the result of shitty editing. Kind of funny that he would say the flaw was the one aspect he wasn't involved with, but compare the 2 books and you'll find that their JL books were twice as funny with about half the words.
