Read the first two chapters and was hooked! I could almost smell the dirty streets of Gothem and hear Batman’s voice in my ear.

I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy….

The Cold War officially started in 1947, so close enough for me, however non-scientific. I tend to view decades in generation lumps, like how a child of the 1930s and 1940s is vastly different than one of the 1960s and 1970s.

If you count twenty or so years as “not too terribly long” . . .

Superman and Batman were both launched in early thirties, decades before the Cold War!

Sounds like a fun book. I really enjoyed Anderson’s X-FILES novels way back when.

The nitpicker in me has to to point out, though, that America “first fell in love” with Superman and Batman long before the Cold War. Hell, they predate World War II . . . !
