Mystery Guild releases second Christie omnibus

dame agatha christie abroad omnibus reviewAs they did previously with the excellent MURDER AT THE MANOR collection, the Mystery Guild honors Agatha Christie – the world’s most popular mystery writer, even all these years after her death – with another three-in-one omnibus in their Lost Classics series. I hate the cover, but you know the insides are guaranteed to be good.

Set for release next month, DAME AGATHA ABROAD features three 1940s novels of foreign murders and archaeological expeditions, including the Hercule Poirot classic MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, MURDER IN MESOPOTAMIA (also with Poirot) and THEY CAME TO BAGHDAD.

This edition will not be sold in stores, so if you want to order, you can join the club here. FUN FACT: You could add a comma and a space to the title and have it read DAME AGATHA, A BROAD and it still wouldn’t be incorrect.

It’s all the more eerie since Reese sports dark hair in the movie; there were moments when I could look at the screen and then turn to my right, and the resemblance was strictly uncanny. (For the record, I am much too handsome to be mistaken for Ryan Phillipe.) Wanted to watch WAR OF THE WORLDS when we got home, but it was too late. [...]
