The Astounding B Monster

astounding b monster book reviewI enjoy a good compilation of B-movie interviews as much as the next cult film nerd, but THE ASTOUNDING B MONSTER is getting tossed on the lame pile.

Maybe if you knew absolutely nothing about B-movies you would find this MONSTER – a collection of Q&As from the website of the same name –interesting, but for the rest of us, it’s a completely boring and, for the most part, uninteresting read. The problem is two-fold: Icons like Bruce Campbell and Mamie Van Doren have been interviewed to death in the past few years, while most of the other reviews are from ’50s stock stars who, quite honestly, just have nothing to say.

Save your $15 and instead buy a few back issues of PSYCHOTRONIC.
