FYI: The "long-awaited origin issue" of Nexus is a reprint of "Nexus: The Origin" from 1992.

just sayin' is all...

Plus, as someone pointed out, Joe Quesada changed the Spider-man OMD story. Joe Q also changed Gwen's kids from being Pete's to bein' Norman (The Goblin)'s...

Great column as usual, Louis. I don't read too many comics these days - despite living almost next door to AUSTIN BOOKS (one of the best comic stores in the country) - but I will definitely be checking out most of these. I didn't know NEXUS was back and I always loved that character and series. I'm also intrigued by the new direction for ACTION. It seems like every super hero comic I flip through is connected to some huge superhero soap opera that I won't understand unless I buy 50 comics every week. It's cool to see that they are getting back to the roots of the Superman character. I'll admit you have me intrigued by the Gene Simmons horror comics as well, but IDW stuff is usually out of my price range.

I'm honored to have made the list. I'm glad you've enjoyed the book. It's been a lot of fun to write.

In all fairness, from what I've read J. Michael Straczynski hated "One More Day" as well. The storyline is mostly Joe Quesada's.
JMS gives his take:
