Alyce Kerr is a faith healer. Well, actually, it’s the demon she’s sold her soul to who’s doing the healing — she’s just the vessel. She’s rich and famous from her miraculous acts, but the downside is it hurts like hell, so she plots to rid herself of Buer, her lesser half.
The only way she can do that is to destroy herself through drink. Popping back into her life, her ex-fiancé, Ross, isn’t too keen on her idea, even though they broke up five years ago when he tried to stab her in her sleep. They reconnect, but Buer would like to get a piece of her, too, creating quite the love triangle in FAITHLESS.
From Damnation Books, Yolanda Sfetsos’ erotic horror/fantasy is a fun little number — and I do mean little, as the story amounts to a grand total of 35 pages. I’m all for short stories, but when the book is billed as the first of a trilogy, I can’t help but wonder why you wouldn’t just release all three tidbits in one volume. FAITHLESS won’t take you any time to read, but it provides a kinky kick while it lasts. —Rod Lott
“Ross caressed his fingers up the backs of her thighs before wrapping both arms around her hips. Both hands held firm to her buttocks when he moved his face forward, mouth pressed into the space between her legs. Her back arched instantly and a cry ignited low in her throat when his tongue delved inside, connecting with her clitoris.”
