chimericana bizarro novella reviewChimericana Books has released five new novellas it deems “bizarro,” in more ways than one. Your first clue would be the disturbing cover art, but the next would be the complete absence of titles and authors.

Explained Chimericana mastermind Mike Philbin, “That’s the joy of the creative publishing process. The ethos of Chimericana Books is that it should be an assault on the reader; a way to main, injure or mentally scar him. For life. When readers discover Chimericana Books, it should be like discovering leukemia in your own blood, it should be like losing a limb, it should be a car crash where a fence post pierces your skull and leaves you bleeding to death smiling at your loved ones.”

Philbin created Chimericana to cater to fans of extreme fiction and fill a void he saw in the horror anthology market. For more information on these and other Chimericana releases, go here.
