Wolverine: Inside the World of the Living Weapon

Wolverine knows almost nothing about himself; you, however, will know practically everything from WOLVERINE: INSIDE THE WORLD OF THE LIVING WEAPON. Matthew K. Manning’s colorful coffee-table book is yet another of DK Publishing’s generously illustrated, fact-heavy guides to a beloved comics property.

Each and every page is a feast for the eyes, with covers, panels and other images from the metal-clawed X-Man’s many incarnations in his 35 years of existence. Spread after spread are devoted to his allies, foes, team affiliations, powers, gal pals and those things that go “SNIKT!”

Other pages veer toward lists like “10 Things Wolverine Has Survived,” while key issues in the character’s career are delved into great detail, including THE INCREDIBLE HULK (wherein Wolvie made his first appearance, helping fend off a yeti), ALPHA FLIGHT and, of course, X-MEN.

Don’t go looking for the Wolverine of the feature films (or even of the animated series or the recent HULK VS. DVD). Do go looking for the A-to-Z of X-MEN’s MVP — the ultimate guide to the ultimate weapon. —Rod Lott

Wow! An entire book dedicated to the major reason I hate Marvel! Awesome! Especially since anything at all Wolverine related is so hard to find….
