What? No comments for the first ever video review? I think it’s the first ever, anyway.

I liked it, but like a lot of video reviews I see on YouTube, it could probably be shorter. I hate to sound all short attention spanny, but five minutes wouldn’t be a bad amount of time.

I was actually wondering before if there was a way to review books on YouTube, like all the movie reviews you see. To tell you the truth, this seemed like one of those movie reviews, because the book itself was about movies. The good thing about that is it lets you use movie clips. So I still wonder if it’s possible to review books in this same way and make it entertaining. You can’t cut to a shot of a printed paragraph, after all.

Amyway, hope to see more stuff like this every once in a while.

Actually, if you take away the film clips and read my commentary as text, this would be my shortest bookgasm review ever. That said, I shall never be known for my brevity–it’s just not in me to get to the point right away.

What other review of books will give you T&A and a nerd morphing into the Toxic Avenger? I rest my case.
Joking aside, I thought it was the perfect length, Allan, with a great blend of film clips, analysis, insight, and honest criticism. For fans of Troma, and for the uninitiated, I thought it worked perfectly. (And I’m proud to say that Poultrygeist was filmed fifteen minutes from my home…which says all you need to know about me.)

Actually you could review comic books like this, narrating your view over flashing pictures of comic panels.

I can appreciate the modesty, sir, but hat or no hat, you’re still one bad azz mofo. Bring on the next episode! And hey Rod, give that man a raise. =) Bookgasm is my favorite site on the Net (well, second favorite, next to, uh, Comics101.com, naturally).
