Mr. Skin’s Skintastic Video Guide: The 501 Greatest Movies for Sex & Nudity on DVD
Having already written the definitive book on actresses nude on film – MR. SKIN’S SKINCYCLOPEDIA – webmaster Mr. Skin turns his leering eye to focus on individual movies rather than ladies for his follow-up, MR. SKIN’S SKINTASTIC VIDEO GUIDE: THE 501 GREATEST MOVIES FOR SEX & NUDITY ON DVD, running the range from the usual suspects (BASIC INSTINCT) and teen films (MY TUTOR) to cult classics (SUPERVIXEN) and straight-to-video dreck so obscure, you’ve probably never heard of it (BIKINI AIRWAYS).
Each flick covered – no more than one to two per page – is illustrated with its often-lurid cover, and given a count for the number of “breasts, butts and bushes” exposed during its running time, followed by a quick list of who shows what, and the real meat: an ever-punny capsule review in which Mr. Skin reveals why it made the list.
As we did with SKINCYCLOPEDIA, we’ll use the Mimi Rogers vehicle FULL BODY MASSAGE as an example: “Mimi Rogers savors a leisurely review of highlights from her erotically charged lifetime while reclining naked on a massage table being worked over by Bryan Brown, who possesses the luckiest hands in film history. The greatest aspect of this modern classic is that it doesn’t matter what point of the movie you play. It’s all naked Mimi, all the time! And those are some jolly Rogers!”
Sidebars abound with trivia facts, bios and lists. Closing out the book is a “top 69″ countdown of Mr. Skin’s all-time faves, with ILSA, SHE-WOLF OF THE S.S. on bottom and SHOWGIRLS on top. Immediately following is another 69-item list, of nudity-laden movies not yet available on DVD. This include the telekinetic sweater-busting ZAPPED! and the notorious CHATTERBOX (”The greatest talking-vagina film of all-time. Period,” writes Mr. Skin).
Some great full-page reproductions of original movie posters help make an already great GUIDE even greater. Your wife or girlfriend may scoff and frown upon it – and perhaps even deny you sex – but it belongs on your reference shelf. –Rod Lott
