Girl Trouble: The True Saga of Superstar Gloria Trevi and the Secret Teenage Sex Cult That Stunned the World

girl trouble gloria trevi reviewFive years ago, Gloria Trevi – mostly unknown in America – was the biggest star in Latin America. Known as the “Mexican Madonna” for her groundbreaking antics and Lolita-esque sexualized demeanor that challenge the teachings of the strict Catholic world, few people were aware that the whole time, she was second-in-command of a sex cult led by her producer and mentor Sergio Andrade, who, despite looking like a Mexican Lou Albano, was able to brainwash a cadre of teen girls into being his sex slaves.

Christopher McDougall’s GIRL TROUBLE tells the whole sordid tale in a dirty, TRUE CRIME magazine tabloid style that manages to report all the facts in the most deliciously torrid way possible, from studio spankings and secret prison impregnations to massive teen orgies and a complete description of how to make a contraceptive device using Coca-Cola. Little is left unexploited, leaving no one unentertained.

GIRL TROUBLE is a nasty little read from start to finish, but you’ll probably need a shower afterwards.
