Jungle Girl: Season 2

by Rod Lott on February 10, 2010 · 0 comments

Hey, Jana — aka Jungle Girl: I love how you slay snakes and eviscerate fishmen and show dinosaurs who’s boss. And I especially love how you do all that while rocking a skimpy leopard-print cavegirl bikini, but what’s with JUNGLE GIRL: SEASON 2?

It has the same creative team in plotters Frank Cho and Doug Murray, and artist Adriano Batista, but it has nearly none of the fun of the first volume. It’s rushed, repetitive and really, really empty in terms of everything but cleavage. A lot happens, and yet nothing happens — fights abound with a variety of beasts, yet lacking any substance or engagement. In other words, we’re breaking up. —Rod Lott
