R.I.P. Arthur C. Clarke

arthur c clarke deadLegendary sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke has died at the age of 90. In his long life, he had written more than 100 books, but he’ll forever be known for 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.

And rightfully so. Its power remains ever palpable all these decades later; I’ll never forget how riveted I was reading it for the first time in a crowded jury pool, waiting for my number to be called – and hoping it wouldn’t, so I could finish the novel in one sitting. It didn’t, and I did.

I can’t think of a more fitting tribute than this.
