She’s back, pimpin’ out notable new releases to place on your radar!
DEATH FALCON ZERO VS. THE ZOMBIE SLUG LORDS by William Bitner and Daniel Boyd — Death Falcon Zero, a disgraced former masked wrestler is released from prison and promised a pardon if he can put an end to the problem of zombies plaguing Charleston’s West Side. DFZ realizes the zombies are created by a new form of crystal meth, funded by Sen. Joe E. Legend, a former wrestler, and his backers, wrestlers-gone-bad drug dealers, yuppie elite, slum lords and corrupt local officials. When it becomes apparent that Legend’s plan is to “infect locally, plague globally,” DFZ is forced to reunite his former tag team to assist him in bringing down the slug lords. The only other problems are Raw Talent is a destitute crackhead; and Professor Danger, once believed dead, is being hidden by the witness protection program — and has no interest in being found. That and the fact that the three of them now hate one another.
NCIS: BLOOD LINES by Mel Odom — Commander Will Coburn’s NCIS team is investigating the carjacking and assault of a young Marine and his wife. All evidence points to Bobby Lee Gant, son of the notorious criminal and suspected international drug smuggler Victor Gant. When NCIS agent Shel McHenry is wounded during a botched arrest, the team rallies around him even as Victor threatens retribution. Meanwhile, in west Texas, Shel’s father, Tyrel McHenry, struggles with his own demons as buried secrets from a war long since fought come to light. The path he chooses will change his — and Shel’s — life forever.
KILLER HEAT by Linda Fairstein — It’s August in New York, and the only thing that’s hotter than the pavement is Manhattan D.A. Alex Cooper’s personal and professional life. Just as she’s claiming an especially gratifying victory in a rape case, she gets the call: The body of a young woman has been found in an abandoned building. The brutality of the murder is disturbing enough, but when a second body is found in Brooklyn, beaten and disposed of in the exact same manner, the city’s top brass want the killer found fast. Relying on razor-sharp instincts, a whip-smart partner, and one big break Alex races to find the killer and keep him from killing again, even if it’s at her own peril.
THE DEATH TRUST by David Rollins — For Special Investigator Major Vin Cooper, it begins with a sniper’s bullet that claims the life of a young G.I. on a routine patrol in Iraq. It’s an all-too-familiar tragedy, not a crime, until it’s linked to the bizarre death of a four-star general … who just happens to be the dead soldier’s father and the son-in-law of a powerful U.S. vice president. Cooper’s investigation will uncover a trail of “accidental” deaths that leads from the war-torn streets of Baghdad to sex slavery in Latvia to a celebrated political marriage that began in the White House Rose Garden. But as he pieces together the most shocking conspiracy in history, Cooper begins to wonder if his superiors really want him to uncover the truth … or become the next victim of the most murderous lie of all.
