PIRATES OF THE DESKTOP
As if you don’t have enough to read, Simon & Schuster is giving away an e-book sampler of its various fantasy series, mostly aimed at young adults. The 349-page file, entitled SWASHBUCKLING FANTASY: 10 THRILLING TALES OF MAGICAL ADVENTURE, can be downloaded for free here.
BARBAROUS BOOK READIED
An anthology honoring the work of CONAN creator Robert E. Howard will debut at this year’s World Fantasy Convention in November, according to author Bill Crider. Among the contributors are Michael Moorcock, James Reasoner, Gene Wolfe, Howard Waldrop and Chris Roberson, whose Monkeybrain Books will publish the still-unnamed title. Scott Cupp and Joe Lansdale will serve as editors, by Crom!

Oh yeah, BOOKGASM has become the new Paul Wunder: One of our extra-awesome quotes has been printed in a actual book!* [...]
