GET ‘INFECTED’
While you’re waiting for ANCESTOR author Scott Sigler’s buzzed-about hardcover debut INFECTED to hit on April 1, play the online game, in which you have to click the people who are, well, infected. The population grows with each level, and it’s pretty addictive. No wonder movie rights for the book have already sold to Rogue Pictures.
CURSES!
Oxford University Press has announced “major changes” to its online OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY, including updates to the words “fuck,” “hell” and “gay.” As stated in a press release, “Some of these key words are, as one might expect, among those often looked up by readers of the OED.” These updates were done out of alphabetical order, for reasons of timeliness.
TITLE 2
Some 30,000 people watched the first episode of TITLEPAGE, the online-only book-discussion show hosted by former publisher Daniel Menaker. The second episode debuted March 17, featuring memorists Sloane Crosley and Julie Klam, and novelists Ceridwen Dovey and Keith Gessen. –Rod Lott
