Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it, which means family, which means entertaining. BOOKGASM is here to help! With thanks to Hachette Book Group, we’re giving away five full sets of the following five holiday titles:
HOLIDAYS ON ICE by David Sedaris
I LIKE YOU: HOSPITALITY UNDER THE INFLUENCE by Amy Sedaris
FESTIVUS by Allen Salkin
KATIE BROWN CELEBRATES: SIMPLE AND SPECTACULAR PARTIES ALL YEAR ROUND by Katie Brown
THE FLAVOR BIBLE: THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO CULINARY CREATIVITY by Karen Page and Andrew Dornenburg

Here’s what you have to do to be entered in the random drawing:
1. In the comments for this post, let us know who you’re least looking forward to seeing this holiday season, and why. (Post a photo and get your name entered twice!)
2. After that, e-mail us your name and mailing address. You must be a resident of the U.S. or Canada; no P.O. boxes.

We’ll announce the winner on Friday, Nov. 14, or you can always just buy them on Amazon.

Honestly, I can only think of people I really would give a lot to see at Christmas….my daughter, for instance, who recently left home and moved out of state.

I wish I could see my mother-in-law, but she died a year and a half ago.

I won’t see her, but I don’t want to see my ex-husband’s new wife.

Least looking forward to the in-laws!

There’s a couple of members of my family I would love not to see….between the pettiness, the paranoia, the victimization and the blaming….makes it hard to have a nice family get together.

I am lucky I have such a great mom though. She makes me laugh throughout it all. I guess she really makes the holiday for me!

I’m least looking forward to seeing my brother because he’s like a traveling rain cloud. He’s just morose and miserable all the time.
