One of the offered books is by Robin Gunn.
Her husband married my wife and I 15 years ago this past Nov 20th. I keep getting emails from her website promoting her books. In the 50+ books she has written I’ve bought exactly, zero! Nor have I emailed her back in many years.
I think winning this selection will get my collection started. Also it would give me a good kick in the shins to contact this old friend and let her know how small a world it is for our paths to cross again.

My daughter-in-law is abrasive and difficult to get along with. It takes a great deal of self control to ignore her behavior. She wasn’t included in the Thanksgiving celbration this year although I had nothing to do with her being ommitted.

Suffering from a lack of sleep with a newborn, I made my oldest daughter (5-years-old) cry by shouting at her to be quiet. The look on her face told me all I needed to know about the expression of anger on my face and how much I had scared her. This happened about two months ago and I still get an incredibly large lump in my throat even writing this. Santa, I deserve a lot of coal for that episode.

But I do deserve to win a shitload of books.
